Lucas Cody went 2-3 at the plate, but Field Falcons 10U fell 9-2 to Stark County Steam at Silver Park on Thursday.

Lucas put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for Field Falcons 10U. He doubled in the first and fifth innings.

Carter DiFloure got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out four, walked three and surrendered two hits.

Stark County Steam was sparked by Wyatt Dillon and Phoenix Porter, who teamed up for two hits and three RBIs.

Jared Jones ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked two and struck out four.

Field Falcons 10U jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. A double by Lucas, plating Carter Little and Jared started the inning off.

Stark County Steam survived Field Falcons 10U's surge and put up two runs of its own in the first. Stark County Steam scored on an RBI single by Drew Simmons and an RBI single by Wyatt.

Stark County Steam never surrendered the lead after the second inning, scoring two runs on.

Stark County Steam added three more runs in the bottom of the third. A scored Drew for the inning's first run.
