Mason Long pitched well, but Field Falcons 10U still fell to Diamond Boys 6-2 in six innings on Saturday at Patterson Park.

Mason handled Diamond Boys' lineup with ease, racking up four strikeouts. Mason allowed no earned runs, four hits and one walk over three innings.

Jayce got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed one run over four innings. Jayce struck out nine, walked three and gave up two hits.

Diamond Boys was sparked by Braden and Brandon, who teamed up for five hits and two RBIs.

Jared Jones ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

Diamond Boys went up for good in the first, scoring three runs on two doubles.

Diamond Boys built upon its lead with two runs in the second. A ground out scored Enzo to get Diamond Boys on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Braden's single, bringing home Tj.

After pushing across one run in the top of the fourth, Field Falcons 10U faced just a 5-1 deficit. A groundout by Lucas Cody fueled Field Falcons 10U's comeback. The Field Falcons 10U threat came to an end when Jayce finally got Conner Lindsey to strike out.

A one-run sixth inning helped bring Field Falcons 10U within four. An error triggered Field Falcons 10U's comeback. Braden got the last out, as Field Falcons 10U's Jared struck out.
