Offense aplenty in Field Falcons 9U's 11-9 loss to Tallmadge Bomb Squad

Field Falcons 9U fell 11-9 to Tallmadge Bomb Squad in six innings on Sunday at Edinburgh Park despite racking up seven hits and nine runs.

 

Braylen Jarvis racked up three RBIs on two hits for Field Falcons 9U. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

 

Bangston recorded the win for Tallmadge Bomb Squad. He allowed four runs over two innings. Bangston struck out two, walked four and gave up three hits.

Tallmadge Bomb Squad was sparked by Jascoe and Gohr, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs.

Mason Long was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked five and struck out four.

In the top of the first, Tallmadge Bomb Squad grabbed the early lead, 3-0. A double by Jascoe, plating Johnson started the inning off. Tallmadge Bomb Squad added more runs when Jascoe scored on an RBI single by Bangston and Webster scored.

It didn't take long for Field Falcons 9U to respond as it scored four runs of its own in the first. Field Falcons 9U scored on an RBI double by Mason, a groundout by Carter Little, an RBI single by Braylen, and an RBI single byTim Farnsworth.

Tallmadge Bomb Squad never trailed after scoring five runs in the fourth on two errors, a groundout by Manzo, and an RBI single by Gohr.

Tallmadge Bomb Squad got one-run rallies in the fifth inning and the sixth. In the fifth, Tallmadge Bomb Squad scored on an RBI single by Gohr, scoring Pownall.

Three runs in the bottom of the fifth helped Field Falcons 9U close its deficit to 10-9. A two-run double by Braylen and an RBI single by Tim set off Field Falcons 9U rally. Johnson ended the inning by getting Mitchell Long to ground out.
