Field Falcons 9U falls 14-5 to the Lake Erie Bulldogs despite Grady Eader's effort

Field Falcons 9U lost 14-5 to the Lake Erie Bulldogs Friday at Brimfield Elementary despite Grady Eader's two-hit day at the dish.

Andrew Karhoff recorded the win for the Lake Erie Bulldogs. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered one hit.

The Lake Erie Bulldogs' Zachary Zimmerman, Ryan Burns, Aaron Jankowskiand Andrew combined for eight hits and three RBIs.

Jacob Kucalaba took the loss for Field Falcons 9U. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked four and struck out three.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as the Lake Erie Bulldogs scored two runs on an error and an RBI single by Andrew.

Field Falcons 9U got one-run rallies in the first inning and the fourth. In the first, Field Falcons 9U scored on a groundout by Mason Long, plating Grady.

The Lake Erie Bulldogs matched their two-run second inning with two more in the third. In the second, the Lake Erie Bulldogs scored on a groundout by Bullock, bringing home Justin Williams.

A ground out scored Andrew for the inning's first run.

Three runs in the bottom of the third helped Field Falcons 9U close its deficit to 6-4. An RBI single by Grady, an error, and fueled Field Falcons 9U's comeback. Carter Little to end the Field Falcons 9U threat.

The Lake Erie Bulldogs added five more runs in the top of the fourth. A ground out scored Ryan to get the Lake Erie Bulldogs on the board in the inning.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the fourth, Field Falcons 9U faced just a 11-5 deficit. An error gave Field Falcons 9U life. But, Brady Parksgot Tyler Sweitzer to strike out to end the inning.
